The Second District Dental Society is the local component of the New York State Dental Association and the American Dental Association representing 1,400 member dentists in Brooklyn and Staten Island. It is our hope that this website provides our members with information that will aid them in making the most out of their membership. Additionally, we hope to provide the public with a source of information about our society and members to demonstrate our commitment to excellence and the preservation of oral health.

Synopsis:
This webinar will provide a brief overview of the basics of Invisalign. It will assist attendees in being able to diagnose malocclusions, work up a case, monitor the progress of teeth alignment, learn how to finish a case to completion and to do refinements for perfection if needed. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will feel comfortable in recognizing what patients to accept to start Invisalign treatment and what kind of malocclusions can have predictable results.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:
All requests for refunds or credits must be made in writing or by phone and received at least two weeks prior to the course date. A full refund, less a ten dollar ($10.00) administrative charge, or if requested and available, credit for a similarly priced course will be issued. Refunds or credits requested after this date will not be granted, including requests made based on absence due to illness, late arrival for courses and/or weather conditions. In the event that a course is cancelled by Second District, paid tuition will be fully refunded.


SONIA KOHLI, D.D.S. has been a general dentist for over 20 years and has maintained her own private practice for 19 years. After graduating from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, she then pursued her residency at Lutheran Medical Center (now NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn). Currently, she works in Manhattan as a part-time attending teaching Invisalign to the AEGD and GPR residents. Dr. Kohli’s practice focuses on cosmetic and general dentistry and she is currently doing an ongoing fellowship program under the leadership of the number one Invisalign provider in the country.

At the direction of SDDS President Dr. Paul Teplitsky, the Constitution & Bylaws Committee, chaired by Dr. Phyllis Merlino, completed the first full revision of the Constitution & Bylaws in more than 10 years. After four months of careful review, the Committee updated outdated language, streamlined committee structures, clarified roles and responsibilities, and modernized provisions to better serve members.
