Welcome to the Second District Dental Society

The Second District Dental Society is the local component of the New York State Dental Association and the American Dental Association representing 1,400 member dentists in Brooklyn and Staten Island. It is our hope that this website provides our members with information that will aid them in making the most out of their membership. Nominations for the 2026 SDDS Nominating Committee

Nominations to the 2026 Second District Dental Society (SDDS) Nominating Committee were held at the SDDS General Membership Meeting on Thursday, March 12.

The following five members were nominated to serve (in alphabetical order):

Dr. Joseph Merola
Dr. Aia Shalan
Dr. Kirstin Wolfe

Elections will be held at the SDDS General Membership Meeting on Thursday, April 16, 2026. The elected members, along with the five immediate SDDS past presidents, will comprise the 2026 SDDS Nominating Committee.
