Owner, ONE ENDO Endodontics Specialty Practice

Clinical excellence remains central to dentistry and outcomes today are shaped by how that excellence is supported by systems, technology and design. Dentistry is increasingly influenced by decisions made beyond the operatory including workflow, infrastructure and practice structure. This lecture examines dentistry through an intentional design lens, highlighting how thoughtful systems support predictable outcomes and sustainable private practice. The presentation connects clinical decision making with practice design, exploring diagnosis, case planning, workflow consistency and the role of technology as part of a broader care continuum. It also addresses how small, thoughtful improvements compound over time and how independent practices are adapting to economic pressure and industry consolidation while preserving autonomy and clinical standards. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how dentistry functions when it is designed rather than inherited and how applying intentional structure beyond the operatory supports better outcomes for patients and practitioners. Upon successful completion of this lecture, attendees will learn:

  • How clinical outcomes in dentistry are shaped by intentional design choices made before, during and after patient care.
  • How systems, workflows and technology support predictability, efficiency and long-term success in dental practice.
  • How privately owned dental practices can apply structured thinking and incremental improvement to adapt and thrive.

DEAN M. SACCOMANNO, D.D.S. brings a deep respect for craft and a genuine passion for building teams, systems, and practices designed to endure. He earned his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and completed a general practice residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx before specializing in endodontics. He is the son of a registered nurse and a Local 580 ironworker, a background that shaped his respect for skilled work, care delivery and building systems that last. In 2019, Dr. Saccomanno co-founded ONE ENDO alongside his longtime friend and colleague, Dr. Nicholas Mastroianni. Their partnership grew from a 30-plus year friendship rooted in shared family history in New York City, where both of their families built lives and small businesses dating back to the 1930s. That legacy of service, entrepreneurship and community became the foundation for the ONE ENDO brand.

ONE ENDO was created on a simple belief: Doctors should be able to own their practices, practice for themselves and never feel like they are doing it alone. Dr. Saccomanno has remained closely involved in caring for communities across the five boroughs of New York City, as well as in Westchester and Fairfield counties. The same doctor-led philosophy and intentional practice design have been applied in settings ranging from the heart of New York City to Miami and Beverly Hills. He brings an operator’s perspective shaped by building, testing and refining systems in live practices, with a focus on infrastructure that allows doctors to practice at a high level without carrying the weight alone.
