Synopsis:
In this hands-on course, participants will gain a basic foundation in dental implantology, with a strong emphasis on practical surgical techniques and clinical decision-making. The program is designed to introduce clinicians to the fundamental principles of implant dentistry, covering essential topics such as patient evaluation, case selection, anatomical considerations, treatment planning and surgical protocols. Attendees will engage in guided, hands-on exercises that simulate real clinical scenarios, allowing them to practice osteotomy preparation and implant placement. The course will also address key aspects of restorative planning, including abutment selection, impression techniques, and prosthetic design, to ensure long-term success and predictability of implant restorations.
By integrating both didactic instruction and clinical application, this program will equip participants with the knowledge and technical confidence to identify appropriate implant cases, perform basic surgical placement and collaborate effectively in the restorative phase of treatment. Upon successful completion of this course, attendees will have developed:
- A clear understanding of surgical and restorative workflows in implant dentistry.
- Practical experience with instrumentation and implant placement protocols.
- The ability to assess patient-specific risk factors and determine case suitability.
- A solid foundation for expanding into more advanced implant procedures in the future.
- Differences between guided and free hand implant placement
- Steps needed for treatment planning for guided surgery
