This presentation will go over strategies to prevent common errors in endodontic treatment. During access, cleaning and shaping and obturation, many errors can occur including perforation, transportation, ledge formation, canal blockage, missed canal, instrument separation and inadequate obturation. The lecture will also review strategies that endodontists use so that root canal treatment can be performed with greater consistency, ease and results. Application of the techniques reviewed during this presentation can help prevent procedural errors from occurring, which optimizes the quality of endodontic treatment outcomes. Upon successful completion of this lecture, attendees will learn how to avoid errors in endodontic treatment such as perforation, transportation, ledge formation, canal blockage, missed canal, instrument separation and inadequate obturation.
