 ls needed to properly respond to cardiopulmonary and other medical emergen
 cies which can occur in dental offices. The specific advantages and disadv
 antages of performing CPR within the dental operatory will be discussed. T
 his program utilizes hands-on practice sessions for all participants. Topi
 cs to be covered will include heart attacks and strokes (signs and symptom
 s)\, sudden cardiac arrest/defibrillation\, airway obstruction (choking)\,
  respiratory emergencies\, anaphylactic reactions\, emergency drug kits an
 d more. \n\nUpon successful completion of this course\, participants will 
 gain the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to administer CPR safely
  and effectively. Completion of this course will also satisfy the New York
