 l S. Rosen\, D.M.D.\, M.S.Clinical Professor of Periodontics\, Rutgers Uni
versity School of Dental Medicine Synopsis:The potential loss of a dental
implant due to complications is a prominent focus of continuing education
programs today. A prevalent contributor to this is peri-implantitis—an inf
lammatory disease posing a threat to the longevity of dental implants and
the prostheses that they help to support. Central questions include: the o
ptimal approach to addressing this issue\, determining the point at which
a dental implant is considered hopeless\, and the procedures involved to r
eplace it.This lecture aims to illuminate the latest information about the
potential causes of peri-implant complications\, exploring both strategie
s and emerging technologies for effective disease resolution. A significan
t emphasis will be placed on collaborative approaches\, engaging both the
restorative dentist and the periodontist/surgeon. The overarching goal is
to achieve the best possible results aligned with our patients’ objectives
.Upon successful completion of this course\, attendees will be able to:Dis
cuss a recent classification given for peri-implantitis and how this helps
into factoring into prognosis and treatment efforts. Discuss the benefits
of resective and regenerative approaches to maintaining failing dental im
plants. List what advances\, i.e.\, cone beam technology and regenerative
materials\, are enhancing diagnostic and treatment efforts. Breakfast and
lunch included MCEU - 6 HOURSTuition:Buy more\, SAVE more*! Sign up for a
