prosthetic complications that can arise during a variety of implant denti
stry treatments\, including implant-supported fixed complete dentures\, im
plant overdentures\, implant-supported fixed partial dentures and single i
mplant crowns. These types of complications\, which relate specifically to

cerns about implant survival. As restorative dentists\, we are likely to e
ncounter prosthetic complications of implant restorations whether or not w
e planned and completed these restoration ourselves\, as patients may deve
lop these issues any time during the lifespan of the restoration. The lec
ture will cover the causes of complications\, such as prosthetic fractures
\, screw loosening\, gingival issues and esthetic compromises. It will als
o discuss strategies to address and avoid these clinical situations. This
lecture will stress the importance of communication and coordination betwe
en the surgical and restorative teams for successful treatment planning an
d execution of implant restorations. Upon successful completion of this le
cture\, attendees will be able to diagnose prosthetic complications that a
rise in implant dentistry\, identify potential risk factors that may lead
to these types of complications\, evaluate these complications as they are
