After coming to the United States\, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbi a University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He did a two-year general practice residency at Staten Island University Hospital\, where he was the chief resident in his second year. He then obtained his certificate in pe riodontics from the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Medical Center in New York. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics and has lectured at several venues\, nationally and internationally. A firm believer in org anized dentistry\, he is a member of several organizations including the A merican Dental Association\, the American Academy of Periodontology\, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry\, the New Jersey Society of Periodon tists and the Academy of Osseointegration. Currently Dr. Vora is the presi dent of the New Jersey Dental Association\, chair of the dental department at JFK University Medical Center in Edison\, New Jersey\, past president of the Middlesex County Dental Society and the New Jersey Society of Perio dontists.
