nopsis:After many years of implant use in dentistry\, there are a number o
f issues that have arisen. How do we develop occlusion on various implant
restorations? Do we develop different occlusal schemes for single units vs
. splinted restorations? How do we deal with restoring unknown implants de
signed by companies that have gone out of business? How do we incorporate
digital dentistry into the restorative phase of implantology? This lecture
will discuss similarities and differences of occlusion on teeth and on si
ngle unit implants. We will then discuss how occlusion helps us determine
the type of restorative material. Finally\, we’ll discuss how to deal with
complex implant restorative cases and complications that arise. LEARNING
