Before proceeding to a Second District meeting or continuing education program, double check where it is being held. Directions to the different venues follow. Unless otherwise stated:
• Second District Board of Trustee meetings are held at SDDS Headquarters.
• Second District’s General Membership Meetings are held at the Fort Hamilton Community Club - OR - Gargiulo's Restaurant - OR - The Staten Island Hilton Garden Inn - OR - at The Richmond County Country Club
• Continuing education courses, including morning seminars and Risk Management are held at Fort Hamilton Community Club – OR – Gargiulo's Restaurant - OR - The Staten Island Hilton Garden Inn – OR – SDDS Headquarters.
• CPR courses are held at SDDS Headquarters - OR - The Staten Island Hilton Garden Inn.
• The Greater New York Dental Meeting is held annually at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

BY CAR:
From Manhattan Via The Manhattan Bridge: Cross the bridge and continue straight on Flatbush Avenue. At Fulton Street, make a left. Go two blocks to Ashland Place and make a right. At Lafayette Ave make a left, then make a right onto Ft. Greene. Place. SDDS Headquarters is the 2nd building on the left. Our parking lot is just before our building.
From Manhattan Via The Brooklyn Bridge: Cross the bridge and continue straight in left land. At Tillary Street (your first light), make a left. Get in the right hand lane. Proceed on Tillary, making a right at Flatbush Avenue. Continue straight on Flatbush Avenue. At Fulton Street, make a left. Go two blocks to Ashland Place and make a right. At Lafayette Ave make a left, then make a right onto Ft. Greene Place. SDDS Headquarters is the 2nd building on the left. Our parking lot is just before our building.
From Connecticut, Queens and Long Island: Long Island Expressway to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway to Exit 29 – Tillary Street. Take Tillary Street two blocks to Flatbush Avenue and make a left. Continue straight on Flatbush Avenue. At Fulton Street, make a left. Go two blocks to Ashland Place and make a right. At Lafayette Ave make a left, then make a right onto Ft. Greene Place. SDDS Headquarters is the 2nd building on the left. Our parking lot is just before our building.
From New Jersey/Staten Island: Take Verrazano Bridge onto BQE. Exit the BQE at 3rd Avenue. Follow 3rd Avenue for 3.75 miles, crossing Atlantic Avenue, where 3rd Avenue becomes Lafayette Avenue. Proceed through next intersection, crossing over Flatbush Avenue (you will see the Brooklyn Academy of Music on your right). Continue for two blocks and make a right onto Ft. Greene Place. SDDS Headquarters is the 2nd building on the left. Our parking lot is just before our building.
BY SUBWAY:
Take the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q or R trains to the Pacific Street/Atlantic Avenue Station. Walk two blocks on Hanson Place toward the Atlantic Center (large three-story shopping center at corner of Hanson and Ft. Greene Pl.). Turn left onto Ft. Greene Place. Second District Headquarters is on the right side of the street near the end of the block.

BY SUBWAY:
Take the R Train to 95th Street Brooklyn. Walk to 101st Street and make a left. Walk one block to Fort Hamilton Parkway. The Ft. Hamilton Army Base is straight ahead of you. Ask guard on duty to direct you to the Community Club.
BY CAR:
From Long Island:
1- Southern State Parkway West to Belt Parkway westbound. Continue on Belt Parkway to Exit #2 (Fourth Avenue). This exit is approximately 100 yards after the exit for the Verrazano Bridge. Proceed on Fourth Avenue to 100th Street and make a right. Continue for one block to Fort Hamilton Parkway. Turn right and proceed to dead end. Entrance to Fort is on your left.
2- Northern State Parkway or Long Island Expressway to Cross Island South (toward Kennedy Airport). Continue on Cross Island into the Belt Parkway westbound. Continue as above.
From Bronx (West): Major Deegan Expressway South to Third Avenue Bridge or Triboro Bridge onto FDR Drive (East River Drive) South. Continue to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Proceed through tunnel and at toll booths, continue straight on Gowanus Expressway. Once past warehouse district, bear right at fork marked to Verrazano Bridge. Exit at 92nd Street (last exit before bridge). Turn right at traffic light onto 92nd Street and make next left onto Fort Hamilton Parkway. Continue to dead end – Fort is on your left.
From Bronx (East): Bruckner Expressway to the Whitestone Bridge to Van Wyck Expressway South. Continue to Belt Parkway to exit #2. Continue as in 1- above.
From Manhattan: Take Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and at tolls, proceed straight on Gowanus Expressway. Follow same as directions from Bronx West.
From New Jersey/Staten Island: Via Verrazano Bridge to 92nd Street exit. At traffic light turn left and proceed to second traffic light (Fort Hamilton Parkway). Turn left and continue to dead end. Entrance to Fort is on your left.
Note: Upon entering the military installation of Fort Hamilton, you will be stopped by the M.P. on duty. Inform him or her that you are attending a dental meeting at the Community Club. You will be directed to the club by the M.P. after your ID and the guest roster has been checked.

BY CAR:
From Battery Tunnel and Verrazano Bridge: Take the Belt Parkway east to Exit 6S (Cropsey Avenue). Take service road to the light and make a right onto Cropsey Avenue. Stay on Cropsey Avenue to West 17th Street (Cropsey Avenue continues as West 17th street at Neptune Avenue). Make a left onto Surf Avenue and go two blocks to West 15th Street. Turn left. Parking lot is on the left and Gargiulo’s Restaurant is on the right.
From Long Island: Take Belt Parkway west to Exit 6 (Stillwell Avenue). When exiting, bear right to Stillwell Avenue. Proceed to light and make a right turn onto Stillwell Avenue. Continue to Surf Avenue and make a right then proceed to next light and make a right onto West 15th Street. Parking lot is on the left and Gargiulo’s is on the right.
BY SUBWAY:
Take the D, F, N or Q trains to the Coney Island/Stillwell Avenue station (last stop). Walk one block to West 15th street.

BY CAR:
From Verrazano Bridge, Staten Island Expressway, Exit 6 South Avenue: Take Exit 6 for South Avenue. At the light, turn left onto South Avenue. Follow South Avenue and turn right onto Lois Lane. Continuing following Lois Lane until you reach the hotel.
From New Jersey via Goethals Bridge, NJ Turnpike, Exit 13: Cross the Goethals Bridge and exit at the first exit, Forest Avenue. Make a left onto Forest Avenue. At the traffic light (see Mobil Station) make a right onto South Avenue. Continue on South Avenue until you reach Lois Lane. Make a right on Lois Lane and continue forward until you reach the hotel.
From New Jersey via Outerbridge Crossing, NJ Turnpike, Exit 10: Take 287 East into 440 North. Go over the Outerbridge Crossing and take the West Shore Expressway/440 North to Exit 9, Glen Street. Then make a right onto Lois Lane and continue forward until you reach the hotel.

BY CAR:
Jacob Javits Convention Center, the exhibit home of the Greater New York Dental Meeting, is located on 11th Avenue, between 34th and 39th Street in Manhattan. There are a number of public parking lots in the immediate area.
From the North (Westchester, Connecticut, Massachusetts):
95 South (via the Cross-Bronx Expressway) to the George Washington Bridge. At approach to bridge, bear right to lower level. Exit at the last exit in New York Parkway South 9A. Follow Parkway South (Henry Hudson Parkway/West Side Highway) to 42nd Street. Turn left. Go one block to 11th Avenue and turn right.
Saw Mill River Parkway/Henry Hudson Parkway/Route 9A: Follow 9A South to 42nd Street. Turn Left. Go one block to 11th Avenue and turn right.
New York State Thruway/Major Deegan Expressway/Route 87: Major Deegan Expressway to George Washington Bridge exit. Stay in right lane towards lower level. Exit at the last exit in New York Parkway South 9A. Follow Parkway South (Henry Hudson Parkway/West Side Highway) to 42nd Street. Turn left. Go one block to 11th Avenue and turn right.
From the South (New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, etc.):
95 North to the New Jersey Turnpike. Exit at the Lincoln Tunnel. When exiting the tunnel, bear left. Follow signs for uptown or northbound to 42nd Street. Turn left onto 42nd Street until you reach 11th Avenue and turn left.
George Washington Bridge to Parkway South 9A. At 42nd Street, turn left. Go one block to 11th Avenue and turn right.
From Queens and Long Island:
Queens-Midtown Tunnel: Take Southbound or Downtown exit to 34th Street and turn right. Go west to 12th Avenue and turn right on 12th Avenue to 39th Street where you turn right.
Queensboro/59th Street Bridge: Take 60/61st Street Exit. Go to 5th Avenue alongside Central Park to 59th Street. Turn right onto 59th Street to 7th Avenue and turn left. Go two blocks to 57th Street and turn right. Follow 57th Street to 11th Avenue and turn left.
From Staten Island: Verrazano-Narrows Bridge eastbound to the Gowanus Expressway, to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Exit westbound to the West Side Highway/12th Avenue. At 39th Street, turn right. Go one block to 11th Avenue.
BY BUS:
M34:
Runs east/west on 34th Street. Stops on 11th Avenue outside the Javits Center and at Penn Station.
M42:
Runs east/west on 42nd street. Stops directly outside the Javits Center and at Grand Central Station.
Port Authority:
New Jersey Transit and other buses arrive at the Port Authority terminal at 42nd Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. The M42 will bring you from there to the Javits Center.
BY TRAIN:
The following trains stop at 34th Street/Penn Station:The Long Island Railroad, Amtrak, New Jersey Transit, PATH (33rd Street and 6th Avenue)
The following trains stop at 42nd Street: Metro North Railroad trains stop at Grand Central Station at 42nd Street between Lexington and Vanderbilt Avenues.

BY CAR:
From New Jersey and Points West: Take the Goethal's Bridge to the Staten Island Expressway (I-278E). Proceed 3.9 miles on Expressway to Todt Hill Road / Slosson Avenue Exit. At end of exit ramp, turn right onto Slosson Avenue. Proceed on Slosson Avenue (up hill). After approx. 0.1 mile, street name changes to Todt Hill Road. Continue up hill and go straight through the intersection of Ocean Terrace at the top of the hill where there is a traffic light. Continue on Todt Hill Road (a winding road) to Four Corners Road traffic light. At traffic light, turn left onto Four Corners Road. Continue on Four Corners Road to a flashing yellow light. At that point, Four Corners Road makes a sharp left turn. DO NOT BEAR LEFT, proceed straight ahead (under flashing light) onto the private Country Club Driveway "North Entry Road". Proceed on North Entry Road to parking areas on the left or right.
*If taking the Outerbridge Crossing: Take the West Shore Expressway (440N) to the Staten Island Expressway (I-278E), then follow the above directions.
From Brooklyn and Points East: Take the Verrazano Narrows Bridge to the Staten Island Expressway (I-278W). Proceed 3.1 miles on Expressway to Todt Hill Road / Slosson Avenue Exit.
