Proposed SDDS Bylaw Amendment
The following proposed amendment to the SDDS Bylaws was approved by the Board of Trustees at the November 7, 2011 meeting of the Board. It will be brought to the membership for a vote at the November 10, 2011 General Membership Meeting.
Background: The purpose of the amendment is to clarify procedure and reiterate the authority of the SDDS Board of Trustees with respect to rule formulation for the Greater New York Dental Meeting.
Proposed: That the Bylaws of the Second District Dental Society be amended as follows:
Amend Article XII, Section 16 B. of the SDDS Constitution and Bylaws by deletion and addition so that it reads:
B. Duties: It shall be the duty of this Committee, jointly with a similar Committee from the New York County Dental Society, to conduct the Greater New York Dental Meeting, in strict accordance with the Rules and Regulations formulated, and accepted, by the Board of Trustees of the Second District Dental Society and the Board of Directors of the New York County Dental Society. These Rules and Regulations shall be binding upon all parties concerned when duly accepted and approved by the respective Board of Directors of the New York County Dental Society and the Board of Trustees of the Second District Dental Society.
